Welcome to Team Rah Rah for Healthy Tatas page!
My name is Tracey Padula and I am Team Captain for Team Rah Rah for Healthy Tatas. I have personally participated in the Susan G. Komen Inland Empire Race for the Cure since 2000. This is our 7th year as a team.
In 2007, my Cousin Kris Laug was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. My kids and I walked that year in her honor and in honor of my Sister-in-law Carol. Sadly, my cousin lost her battle with Breast Cancer in June of 2009 at the young age of 54 . I formed the team in her memory in 2010 with friends, family and my daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. We had 16 people on our team which included 3 Survivors and raised $2,660 for the cure. Our 2011 team had 46 people with 5 survivors and we raised $6,055! 2012 team was our biggest yet with over 60 people which included 6 Survivors raising $6,393.00!! Our 2013 team was small but very mighty! 26 team members with 4 Survivors and we raised $7,132!!! 2014 was our most amazing year yet raising $10,700! We were the first place team in the Friends and Family division. 2015 we came in 2nd in the Friends and Family division raising $7325!
We are raising money the old fashioned way, selling homemade sweets at the Soccer Park, yard sales, setting up tables in our community with Breast Cancer Literature. You know, talking face to face with people raising awareness as well as those important dollars for the Cure. Our 2nd Annual BUNCO FOR BREAST CANCER Fundraiser was held on August 29th at Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park in Highland. Bunco was a great success! All who attended had such a great time they are looking forward to this years BUNCO FOR BREAST CANCER to be held on AUGUST 20th.
I am continualy amazed at the generosity of people we meet at our fundraising events. We have met so many nice people and heard many stories of the battles and triumphs with Breast Cancer. We hope you will join our team this year and join us in our fight to end Breast Cancer FOREVER!
Our motto is:
We are a small team with a HUGE commitment to finding a cure!
